On Friday, I thought it’s time for me and my husband to take a break. Not from each other, of course! Hehe. But from the stress and pressures of it all, whatever all means. I just noticed I’ve been a little hard on him (it just has to be me here being hard on something or else lain nya paminawon. Haha! :hide:) and he’s been a little sensitive and impatient to me. In short, gamay lang sipyat, gubot ang show! Hehe.

Since it was a long weekend, I suggested (this time kay sige man lang og siya pero di lang ko kay automatic man dayon nako iconvert ang kantidad to milk) that we watch a movie, and swore to myself never to do any conversions. And we did.

We watched “He’s just not that into you” and had a great time. We laughed and laughed. I cried a bit, too. It was funny, smart, and definitely a chick flick. For a while I thought it may be a bit wrong to have brought my husband along, but then I had a great time, and best of all he had a great time. So what’s the problem? Hehe. In short, katukon lang jud usahay.:hide:

Then the next day we had dinner in a special place. Syodi fine dining. Kanang sugba2x sa kilid2x, lartian style, located in Junquera Extension corner R. Landon St. It’s a special place for us because we used to eat there when we were still going out as friends then lovers. We’re glad the place and food haven’t changed, and the chili hot sauce–di jud malimtan. Busog kaayo mi at 128 pesosesoses. Tua rah! =D

Unya didto mi sa Colon nanakay og taxi na murag V-hire–another thing I am grateful for. I have just discovered it a few months ago. It makes the travel back home less stressful.

I realized that there may be no point in writing this entry. haha! But this would work as a simple reminder or note to my self of who I once was and still is for that person that I could possibly be–a better version of me. =)

because it's the love month

Surprise, not. =)

Someone emailed me this 'good guy' checklist:

–calls you back when you hang up on him
–stays awake just to watch you sleep
–kisses you on the forehead
–shows you off to the world even when you are in your sweats
–holds your hand in front of his friends (even strangers)
–constantly reminds you how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to have you
–turns to his friends and says, ‘That’s her!”

I laughed,
Because I know there could never be an end to this checklist, and it could never be a basis.
And I smiled,
Because I know (no matter how I’d disagree with myself the next time I get angry at him) I married a 'good guy'.
And what makes me smile even more is that my close friends and family say so, too.

Let me add the other things I appreciate about him: He looks forward to meeting my friends, as well as their partners. He laughs at my jokes and sometimes ka-angatch-an, and pulls me to his side to plant me a kiss. He stares at me like he just met me for the first time, and smiles, and flirts. =P He doesn’t give me “Ex’s headaches.” Toinks. Dapat lang. He has friends aside from ‘our friends’. Elementary, High School, College, Work, or just friends. He has passion about something. He has passion for (for the love of sports) football. He still plays on weekends. And so on and so...mushy already! Nyaks. :hide:

Seriously, of course,
my husband has his moments. We have our moments.
But we have love and commitment, each and everyday.
That’s something. =)
