not the "stomach distress"

DSC00222
one of those mangoes.

In one of Lynette’s blog entries she asked, "what makes you angry?" I thought I should write about one of the things that ticks me off just to let it off my chest. :hide:

People who have issues about OFWs working their asses off in other countries irk me to the core.

So what if they work their “bodies” out? I’d have to quote “bodies” because these people who have issues, have especially categorized jobs requiring “brains” and “bodies”, and the latter definitely don’t deserve that much praise and just so "down" there.

And what irks me more is when these people have issues about OFWs going back home to the Philippines and live the life – bring pasalubongs, shop all they want, buy branded clothes and bags, treat their families to a vacation, etc. I think I’d understand if these people who have issues are family to these OFWs because they can get a little concerned. But when they’re not and the OFWs do not owe them anything, it’s just plain hilarious. You should hear these people comment on the OFWs’ outfits (murag si kinsa), work abroad (manguskos sa tiles or lobot), situation abroad (bills na abot sa langit), and how these “self-proclaimed better people” think they’re so much better than these OFWs, and how they’re so different (they work for this amazing churva) and more special (abot sa langit ila income) than them (than anyone, actually). It’s just plain hilarious and despicable because it just spells crab mentality.

I'd have to say that if these people really think they’re so much better and would want to be recognized (tawn pud) as so much better, murag kinahanglan pa sila i-overhaul kung sa awto pa. Toinks.

Wa na. Nagbukal na ako dugo. Muhunong na ko. :hide:

thank you jane, for fighting for us OFWs,haha=)*hugs*
everyone works hard for their money...whether OFW,working in the Phils or even if you just sit in your ass whole day, writing bogus articles paid for unreliable ezines.
we deserve the pay, and bloody hell, to spend our money like its going out of fashion=)

i agree with this! makasurok gyud bitaw ug dugo.

but then, on the other side of the fence, makalagot pud kaau ning mga OFW nga inig uli diri, they talk or mo-asta nga mura silag si kinsa -- they compare the philippines, saying condescending things about the country they come from.

ok ra na nga magsige sila ug gasto. that's their hard-earned money anyway. but IF mo-asta pud sila nga murag si kinsa, that's just weird to me. whoever we are -- OFWs, guards, waitresses, makililimos -- i think that no one has the right to act superior against another, no matter how much money we have in the bank.

so you see, i am for supporting ang mga bagong bayani (although i don't know why they are called that. those of us who chose to stay here, paying our taxes are working as hard our ass off, too). but unta, these people should also learn to be grateful to the country where they come from.

makalagot kaau paminawon ang mga sige ug panaway sa pilipinas.

sorry jane. blog entry na man ni. hahahaha!

- - - - -

and kanang naay issues sa OFW just because the OFW is living THE life, suya ra na.

personally, as long as dili lang ko makadungog nga gisaway sa OFW ang pilipinas, i've no issues with them.

gipun-an pa gyud. hahahaha! sorry. =(
