long day, long night

Today has been a very long day. I only slept for 3 hours and had a very late lunch (I even almost forgot it.) I was supposed to hit 5 birds with one stone but it just wasn’t possible. Upon reading Aileen’s blog on ticking off some wants, I reviewed my list. There I saw that I managed to tick off seven wants since I first came up with the list on November 2008. I feel grateful (even if my list is not the sophisticated kind. Hehe) Yet again, mine is a very long list and most of what's in it I perceive is a need. So it could grow longer and longer. I am once again anxious for there’s so much to do and time should be a company so little. I just know this anxiousness would stay for as long as I live.

My daughter is communicating more now and more clearly. She’s getting more kulit. She never stops calling you until she gets your attention. A few nights ago, she kept on calling, “Mama…mama…” (and she does it while patting her chest repeatedly like that when you point to yourself. This has confused us a little at first. Hehe.). So when I asked her, “What is it, Khan?” She said, “An…an…” I said, “What’s An? Who’s An?” Then she said, “’d’sa…d’sa…” So I asked her, “Dyosa?” She answered, “O..d’sa…d’sa…” and points to a picture of Anne Curtis in one of her toys. Grabe jud ka-fan. Haha!

My sister and her family are leaving for home tomorrow. It’s sad thinking how I’d be missing her and her boys. It’s even sadder thinking how her kids and my kid would miss each other. But it’s saddest thinking how we really can’t do much but go through it.
